You may be eligible to participate in a free research program to help your family control weight and improve health. You must be interested in using the internet as part of the program and willing to visit the study offices located just off I-40 in Chapel Hill 6 times over a seven month period. To be eligible, you must be overweight and have a child aged 8 to 13 who is overweight or at risk, and be otherwise generally healthy. For more information and to find out if you qualify, call. Wake Research Associates is conducting a research study of an investigational weight loss medication combined with a reduced calorie diet for men and women who are overweight or obese.

If you are 18 to 65, in generally good health and looking for a way to get your weight under control, you may be eligible to take part in this study. Qualified participants will receive at no cost, study medication, physical assessments and lab work, along with dietary counseling and compensation.
