The DUKE Center for Nicotine and Smoking Cessation Research is conducting a new research study using oral nicotine solution administration. Regular smokers, ages 21 – 65, with no known health problems, are needed!

Participants will earn up to $250 for 12 visits to the Center over a 6 month period.

Title: Adult Smokers with ADHD

Are you a regular smoker?

Do you experience difficulties with the following:

  • Not paying attention to details and making careless mistakes
  • Difficulty staying focused on tasks
  • Difficulty completing work, chores or other tasks
  • Disorganization
  • Forgetfulness
  • Difficulty staying seated
  • Restlessness
  • Impatience?

If you are a regular smoker with no known health problems AND if you answered yes to all or some of the questions above OR have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), you are asked to participate in a laboratory research study.

This research will study the effects of nicotine on mood and performance. The Duke ADHD Program and the Tobacco Neuroscience Research Laboratory will conduct this study and will provide evaluations to those who qualify.
