Participants needed for a new clinical research study in Multiple Sclerosis at Raleigh Neurology Associates.
- Individuals with MS who have experienced 2 or more attacks in the past 2 years or 1 or more attacks in the past 6 months
- Ages 18-65
- Not currently taking disease modifying therapy (including beta interferons or glatiramer acetate)
This clinical research study will test a new experimental therapy that is designed to suppress the inflammation that causes damage to nerve fibers in patients with MS. The study drug is delivered subcutaneious injection administered by a research nurse once a week for the first month and then once a month for 4 months. Participants will continue to be seen for 9 more months. 1 in 5 subjects will receive an injection with no active drug.
