Is your child..
- too afraid to go to school?
- overly worried about bad things?
- afraid to be away from you?
- so shy or easily embarassed that it interferes with his or her school performance or social activities?
If you answered yes to any one of these symptoms, your child may be suffering from an anxiety disorder that can be treated. At the Program in Child and Adolescent Anxiety Disorders (PCAAD) at Duke University Medical Center, our doctors can determine if your child needs help. Children aged 7 to 17 may qualify to participate in a research project and receive expert care with medication or psychotherapy.
