Title: Healthy Adult Volunteers Needed for Laboratory Study

The Duke Child and Family Study Center is conducting a study on the effects of medicaitons commonlyused to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults who do not have ADHD.

If you are between the ages of 18-35 and have never been diagnosed with ADHD or other psychiatric disorders, you may be eligible to participate. Participation would involve multiple session sin which you would receive medication.

All of the drugs used in this study have been approved by the FDA for use in adults and/or children with ADHD. Volunteers can earn from $620 - $1440 for their participation.

The following behaviors may signal Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD):

  • Not paying attention to details; making careless mistakes
  • Difficulty staying focused on tasks
  • Difficulty completing work, chores, or other tasks

If you are between the ages of 18-55 and answered “yes” to all or some of the questions above, or if you have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), then you are asked to participate in a clinical research study for an investigational drug for ADHD in adults. Title: Join the Family Heart Study

The Family Heart Study hopes to identify genetic and environmental influences on a broad range of social, emotional, biological and behavioral factors that have been found to increase the risk of developing heart disease.

Participants need to be healthy, between the ages of 21 and 49 and African American or white. They need to have at least one brother or sister who also agrees to be in the study and they must meet the qualifying guidelines for the study.

Each participant can earn up to $275 for full participation, receive the results of their physical exam and up to $150 travel allowance if they are out of the area. Parking is free and convenient.
