The Duke Child and Family Study Center is conducting a study on the effects of medicaitons commonlyused to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults who do not have ADHD.

If you are between the ages of 18-35 and have never been diagnosed with ADHD or other psychiatric disorders, you may be eligible to participate. Participation would involve multiple session sin which you would receive medication.

All of the drugs used in this study have been approved by the FDA for use in adults and/or children with ADHD. Volunteers can earn from $620 - $1440 for their participation.

To qualify you must be

• Between 18 and 60 years
• A non-smoker for at least six months
• Otherwise generally healthy
• Available for study-related visits for one year

If you qualify, you will receive:

• Study medication at no charge
• Nutritional and lifestyle counseling at no charge
• Compensation for your travel

If you are a woman 18 - 50 years old and:

• are experiencing a lack of sexual interest and desire,
• or are having difficulty becoming aroused or having an orgasm,
• or are having a typical sex life with no sexual dysfunction, and
• have been in a monogamous heterosexual relationship for at least one year,

you may be eligible to participate in a research study at no cost to you. You can help the medical community develop new understanding of this important part of your life. You will be compensated for your time. Please call for more information.

The Family Heart Study hopes to identify genetic and environmental influences on a broad range of social, emotional, biological and behavioral factors that have been found to increase the risk of developing heart disease.

Participants need to be healthy, between the ages of 21 and 49 and African American or white. They need to have at least one brother or sister who also agrees to be in the study and they must meet the qualifying guidelines for the study.

Each participant can earn up to $275 for full participation, receive the results of their physical exam and up to $150 travel allowance if they are out of the area. Parking is free and convenient.

Wake Research Associates is conducting a research study for men and women who are overweight to mildly obese. This is an investigational device that may help you control the amount of food that you eat without drugs or surgery.

If you are 18 to 49 an dare looking for a way to get your eating habits under control, you may be eligible to take part in this study.

Qualified participants will also receive physical assessments along with nutritional weight management information.
